One of the hardest working men in music, Mr. Eric Roberson, recently released his 18th studio album, “Beautifully All Over The Place” (BAOTP), which is available exclusively on his official website. As Erro is scheduled to perform in Alexandria, Virginia, at The Birchmere next weekend, I wanted to highlight something from his catalog for this week’s Slow Jam Saturday.

The song I chose is “At The Same Time” from 2011’s “Mister Nice Guy.” Written by Roberson and produced by Aaron Hardin, this ballad showcases Roberson’s songwriting prowess, perfect for that silent ride home after a fight with your significant other when your eyes are on the road but your heart is heavy. We've all experienced this, and Roberson knows just what to say.

In simple terms, “At The Same Time” is a velvet confession. Roberson isn’t trying to seduce; he’s sharing the truth. Over warm keys and sparse percussion, he expresses the ache of loving someone who’s no longer emotionally aligned with you.
